Here are our thoughts on a few common questions that I receive:

We’re planning a wedding outside of California — Do you travel?

Yes, I love to travel!  I travel to document a large percentage of weddings I photograph, and I have journeyed all over to tell my couple’s wedding day stories.   I charge a travel fee that covers airfare, lodging and local travel–so, whether it’s in your backyard, on a beautiful tropical beach, or perched on a serene mountaintop I am ready to be there to document your day!  A few of the places I’ve traveled recently to document weddings are: The Berkshires, MA; Charleston, SC; San Juan Island, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Newport, RI; Santa Barbara, CA; San Francisco, CA; Chicago, IL; Napa, CA; Asheville, NC; San Diego, CA; Kansas City, KS — and I have traveled to photograph in South America and throughout Europe for personal work.

How does arranging travel to our wedding work?
I will book our own airfare, hotel and transportation, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Do you have experience shooting multi-cultural weddings?

Yes, I love the beauty and uniqueness in every different culture’s wedding traditions and have experience documenting a variety of different types of wedding ceremonies — including Hindu, Jewish, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Catholic, and Filipino.

Do you offer albums?

Yes, I offer a variety of beautiful fine-art albums.  This is one of the most lasting ways to enjoy and share your wedding day images with friends and family over time.  I’d love to help you find one that’s right for you — so please contact me for more information!

We would love to meet with you, but we don’t live in Southern California — what can we do?

Many of my couples hire me without an in-person meeting, and I am always available to meet via video chat, which I love to do!  It’s important to me to meet face to face and I would love to take advantage of the amazing technology out there to talk with you and get to know you no matter where you’re located.

We think we might like to include a 2nd shooter in our package — how does that work?

If you’re interested in this additional layer of coverage you can choose it as an addition on your contract.  Once you let me know your interest I will choose a photographer from my network of trusted 2nd shooters to join me on your day.  If you’re planning to have 100+ guests I always recommend that you consider this option.

We think you’d be the perfect fit to document our wedding day — how do we go about booking you?

First, I would love to set up a time to meet with you so we can all get to know each other better — so please use the Contact button at the top of our page to say hello and let me know about your day.  Then, if everything feels like a good fit for us all I will send you a contract to read over and sign.  All you need to do from there is return the contract with a deposit, and then the remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding.

After the wedding, when can we expect to receive our wedding photos?

You can expect to receive your photos between 8 – 10 weeks from your wedding date.  After I select only the very best images from your day I spend time touching each of those images by hand.  I make a variety of important adjustments in addition to putting my own special “Raser” touch on your collection.  When your images are ready you will receive your collection of high-res digital files for download and sharing via an online password-protected gallery.  If you’ve ordered an album I will also deliver your initial album design at this time.

How many images will be a part of our wedding day collection?

I include between 600 – 750 images in an average wedding day collection, which is comprised of only the very best photos from your day.

What are some of your favorite places you have traveled?

That would currently have to be a three-way tie between Kauai, Hawaii; Iguazu Falls, Brazil; & Rome, Italy.  Kauai truly is a quiet paradise — I love the smells, the fruit and the beaches.  I also love Brazil, and Iguazu Falls is one of the unsung wonders of the world — when Eleanor Roosevelt visited the falls she reportedly said “Poor Niagra!”  Last, but not least, Rome is a magical place with amazing food, mind-blowing history, and my favorite thing to do with my wife Lisa when there is to walk from piazza to piazza arm-in-arm into the wee hours of the morning with a cone of gelato in hand.  What’s your favorite spot in the world?
