Our Philosophy

Info Page - Our Philosophy Header_5Here are a few things I am excited to share with you about my style and approach:

I am mellow, fun and hardworking and I absolutely love what I do!  I am looking for couples who are relaxed, love to have fun, really connect with the work that I do, and who are personally invested in the elements of their wedding day.  I feel that when you invite me into the intimate spaces of your wedding day to tell the personal stories of your relationship, friendships and family that it’s also important that you enjoy and trust me–which is why I want to share with you a few things that I am passionate about in the way that I tell stories, relate to my couples and run my business:

  • RELATIONAL – Photographing my couples’ weddings is a very personal experience for me.  I care deeply about connecting with my couples as friends, as opposed to the traditional “client and vendor” approach. I believe that my relational approach encourages my couples to have fun and be themselves, providing the clearest window into natural moments.
  • CREATIVE – I am passionate about creating photographs that are both unique and artistic, and that showcase your most honest emotions and personality. I am constantly brainstorming about ways to push myself and my creativity to new places. I strive to create compelling compositions that not only capture the intimacy of the moment, but also the broader and unique context surrounding a moment.
  • DOCUMENTARY – I allow the events of the day to unfold as organically as possible and I focus on being prepared to capture them as they happen. While I do give direction when needed, I work mostly as an unobtrusive observer, paying close attention to genuine and candid interactions. The images I capture are not simply documentary snapshots, but artistic impressions and interpretations of moments, that when seen collectively, tell the entire story of your day.
