The Rasers – West Coast & Destination Wedding Photography » Creative Husband & Wife Photography Duo - West Coast, US, Destination

Chris and Tiffany’s wedding was so much fun. We laughed, we polka-ed, we tromped through fields, and I (Derren) even got a tick to remember it all by. Really though, it was a grand celebration with so many of their friends and family, and we had a blast being a part of it!

Also, when Chris and Tiffany approached us about shooting their portraits at the family farm, needless to say we were really excited. The farm includes a couple of beautiful historic barns, and a plethora of very cool antique farm equipment peppers the heavily wooded property. It was such a beautiful setting for such a sweet couple, and an awesome addition to a great wedding day. Thanks again for having us along for the ride! Congrats you guys!

We had such awesome weather the day we met Melany and Eddy at Lincoln Park north of downtown Chicago, which is one of the city’s many lovely natural spaces in the midst of the sprawling urban environment.

This was our first time meeting them in person, though we already felt we knew them through our correspondence–especially since we had bonded with Melany over our mutual love for Sprinkles Cupcakes! They were so easy to shoot–Melany was quick to laugh and Eddy was friendly and relaxed. We are really looking forward to seeing you guys again and to shooting your awesome wedding this Fall!

There is something so natural about the way that Christine and Adam interact with one another–which is one thing that makes capturing moments of them together so easy and so much fun. We also have to take this opportunity to say that they both have rather striking profiles (which we’ve been remarking on around the house ever since their downtown Chicago engagement session–which was recently featured on Brooklyn Bride). What can we say, some people just look great from any angle!

We were recently blessed with the opportunity to be a part of their wedding, and we were really struck by the huge amount of love and support they have from family and friends, who all, by the way, also really know how to celebrate–and they did! And, we were so excited to be able to see one of our 2010 couples there (hi Kate & Pete!), and also one of our 2012 couples (hi Anne & Tyler!). So much fun!

We’ve had so much fun getting to know Christine and Adam through the course of their engagement session and wedding day, that we’re really going to miss hanging out with them–which means we’ll just have to make sure we run into each other again sometime soon. You guys had such a beautiful wedding day, we were so thrilled to be able to capture it with our cameras, and we’re excited to see where the future leads you two! Congrats again!!

p.s. No photos survived to tell the story–but on the way to the reception Derren discovered a hidden set of NASCAR driving skills, while following a speeding, and very confused party-bus driver around the crowded highways of North Chicago! Evidence once again that the life of a photographer is always an adventure.

Reception Venue: Evanston Women’s Club

Kristen and Brian are both so sweet and fun to be around, and we really had a blast being a part of their wedding day. You may remember their engagement session this Spring, where en lieu of shooting outside as we had planned (where it happened to be snowing that day), we ended up shooting inside the really unique, fun and colorful St. Louis City Museum. All the color, uniqueness and fun that we captured in their engagement session ended up being only a prologue to all the joy and personality that we experienced on their wedding day. And, the bright and colorful spaces they chose both for thier ceremony and reception were really a wonderful reflection of their joyful and lively personalities.

This day was truly a celebration. We had so much fun getting to know you guys, and hope life together brings you so much more color and joy! We hope you enjoy these moments from the day.

We love hanging out in Nashville and were in turn really excited to meet David and Julie there for their recent engagement session. Julie is a teacher (she is so sweet, we’re certain her students must adore her), and David is actually a talented songwriter and musician. He has a super cool solo project and fronts an awesome Nashville-based band. We love working with other artists, and for artists or any kind, Nashville is definitely a great place to be!

David and Julie really wanted a personal feel and locale for their shoot, and we in turn ended up capturing some shots of them at their new house, and then strolled around their neighborhood looking for fun spots. We also ventured over to the nearby 12South neighborhood for a few shots (we love the Frothy Monkey!). David and Julie made the afternoon so much fun, and we appreciated being able to get to know them and shoot them in such an intimate setting. Thanks so much you guys! We’re so looking forward to being a part of your wedding soon!!
